   Well, were counting down the days to the deadline of when Brett Favre usually return to the Minnesota Vikings. Brett Favre, A 19 season Veteran, has to return by the start of the Regular Season Game Vs the Saints, or more auspiciously on By Saturday: When The Vikings Face The St. Louis Rams And Sam Bradford For the 1st Pre-season Game. By the looks of it so far, Jackson, a three-year veteran will be the Vikings starter, at least for the Pre-season. Some Vikings Fans think that if Favre doesn't come back that the Vikings ,at most, will be playoff- contenders this year. With Favre, However, the majority of Minnesota Vikings fans think that We are Superbowl Favorites. Jackson, although not as experience and accurate as Brett Favre, does hold some versatility in his passing game and can rush to get short yardages for the 1st down.

So, The downsides of having Tarvaris Jackson as a starting quarterback Are

1. He is inexperienced in the play-offs and not fully mentally mature, like Favre.
2. He is short and his drop-back "squat", although somewhat of a misnomer is not the finest mechanic pre-pass mechanics.
3. Tarvaris Jackson is not that good under pressure and doesn't have an accurate quick-release pass like Favre. In other words, Tarvaris hasn't mastered some of the passes a NFL quarterback must have in order to succeed in the NFL.
4. Jackson is streaky. Let's face, it in the 2007 Season he lost the first three games and won the last four games in the stretch so the Vikings could make it into  the play-offs vs the Eagles [We all remember that game when Jackson through an interception to Eagles CB, Asante Samuel, who took it to the house to end the half].To save explanation, Jackson hit a cold spot in the play-offs ultimately ending in a Vikings devastating loss.
5. Jackson hasn't shown star quality, so in essence, the Minnesota Vikings are wasting valuable playing time on a expendable quarterback.
6.  He throws the interceptions. Turnovers can make or break a team's season like in 2008 for the Minnesota Vikings and 2010 [ Brett Favre's interception,  Adrian Peterson's fumbles, and Percy  Harvin's fumble].

What Jackson Has that Makes him an Exceptionally good Quarterback:

1. Has good speed and can run in Third-down short yardage situations.
2. Young, a lot of potential, and showing promising signs in some respects.
3. Jackson has a good arm and is patient in the pocket.Jackson's arm strength is damn good but I still don't get, like many other Vikings fans, we all know that Jackson can throw the long ball so why not try his arm out. I mean, if you look at the two seasons he was a full-fledged starter, he seemed to be always, about half of the time, throwing short slants, sideline dumps, or screen passes.
4. He is versatile. Even though he hasn't shown it, he's a Michael Vick. He can run, play running back, is in good shape , can take hits, and can throw all types of distances pretty soundly.

So, What's going on with Brett Favre? Are we in for a solace until the regular season or are we going to see him come Saturday in the 1st pre-season game vs the Rams,.  Yes, and no I speculate. Get it, I'm waffling!! Moving on, Brett Favre will come back just not until the 1st Regular season game on September 9 Vs The Saints because he needs [and wants supposedly] the full-time for recovery so he can play healthy this year. It's not a matter of when, in Favre's case, it remains a matter of how he will play and stay healthy throughout the whole season. So, what's the latest on Brett Favre? Well, let's just say that even Brett himself probably has doubts about his "decision" in part due to his indecisiveness. We all love Brett, but we only love him when he's playing football, and at that for the Minnesota Vikings. We want [and need supposedly!!] a Superbowl or World Series [Twins] here in Minnesota. Were going on a thirty year drought of no championships in regards to Minnesota professional sports teams. For god's sake start producing and brighten up our winter Brett Favre [Or Joe Mauer/Liriano] Somethings got to give in the next five years, that's all I'm predicting, a Superbowl via Brett Favre in the next year would be most gratifying to us and Himself for the shot that we missed out on last year. And no I'm not being somber about our loss to the Saints I'm being revengeful. That's right, 2010-2011 Minnesota Vikings Dallas, Nada New Orleans!!
